Barnes had a big hit on their hands when they introduced their TSX bullet. Made entirely of copper, it at once eliminated lead fouling of the bore that reduces accuracy and core/jacket separation that can result in a shallow wound cavity. The TSX is an accurate bullet with its long, streamlined form and pressure relieving grooves in its shank. Its terminal expansion is especially effective as well, thanks to its four sharp, deadly cutting petals that protrude within soft tissue.
Barnes made the TSX even better with the addition of a polymer tip. This 300 AAC Blackout round’s 110 grain TTSX sports a polymer tip that not only further streamlines its profile to amplify its ballistic coefficient, but also smashes inward during penetration to make those cutting petals come out even faster. Any hog who catches one of these bullets between its ribs? His oinking days are numbered.
This round is assembled by Black Hills, whose ammo is favored by both the U.S. Armed forces and weapon manufacturers including Beretta, Smith & Wesson, and FN Herstal. It features a reloadable brass casing, non-corrosive primer, and precisely measured propellant charge, all assembled according to tight tolerances, and all certain to add tremendous value to your next hunt.
