Its 1,165 fps muzzle velocity translates to approximately 310 ft lbs of kinetic energy at 25 yards – still above the threshold of what’s normally considered adequate for self-defense.

This round’s JHP takes a conventional yet effective approach to terminal expansion. The jacket is notched around the nose cavity, which assists with fuller and faster expansion. Each nonmagnetic bullet is seated in a brand new brass case – reloadable, and worth hanging on to.
