This cartridge is loaded with a 100 grain total metal jacket projectile. It performs almost identically to an FMJ, except its fully shielded base prevents any part of the TMJ’s lead core from getting aerosolized during ignition. The base of a Streak round’s TMJ is coated in luminescent material. It doesn’t burn or produce heat – it simply reflects the light emitted by muzzle flash back at the firing line.
